ARINC 600 and M83527 Backshells for Industry-Standard Modular Rack-and-Panel Connectors

Terminate cable braid shield to adapter with stainless steel Band-Master ATS® bands. Install band with hand tool or bench-mounted pneumatic tool. Bands are available in Standard (.24 inch) and Micro (.12 inch) widths. Slim Standard and Micro Slim bands have reduced thickness for weight reduction. Hardened steel Micro-Max bands have 60% more tensile strength than standard Micro bands. Available pre-coiled, bands are 304 series stainless steel, passivated.

Backshell consists of two modules ordered separately: single port module for cavity C, and dual port module for cavities A and B. TAG® ring has fingers for individual braid shields. Optional RFI gasket. Aluminum shell, nut and clamp. PTFE friction washer, gold plated beryllium copper ground spring, stainless steel screws and washers. Optional RFI gasket is aluminum mesh in neoprene.

Backshell attaches to connector retainer plate holes using 4-40 screws supplied with backshell (remove and discard retainer plate). Cable shield attaches to backshell with .24 inch (6.1 mm) wide Band-Master ATS® banding strap. Options include slots in banding area, Qwik-Ty® strain relief arm and EMI gasket.
