Series 527
ARINC 600 connectors, prevalent in commercial aviation, are modular, high-density interconnects designed for rack-and-panel avionic applications. Terminate cable braid shield to adapter with stainless steel Band-Master ATS® bands. Install band with hand tool or bench-mounted pneumatic tool. Bands are available in Standard (.24 inch) and Micro (.12 inch) widths. Slim Standard and Micro Slim bands have reduced thickness for weight reduction. Hardened steel Micro-Max bands have 60% more tensile strength than standard Micro bands. Available pre-coiled, bands are 304 series stainless steel, passivated.

Two clamp t ypes: saddle clamp for unshielded wire bundles or saddle clamp with nickel-plated copper braid sock for shielding applications. Backshell ports feature Adapter Code H (D38999 Series III/IV) interface. Composite clamps are flight-grade self-locking style with full-radius saddles.

Backshell consists of two modules ordered separately: single port module for cavity C, and dual port module for cavities A and B. TAG® ring has fingers for individual braid shields. Optional RFI gasket. Aluminum shell, nut and clamp. PTFE friction washer, gold plated beryllium copper ground spring, stainless steel screws and washers. Optional RFI gasket is aluminum mesh in neoprene.

Backshell attaches to connector retainer plate holes using 4-40 screws supplied with backshell (remove and discard retainer plate). Cable shield attaches to backshell with .24 inch (6.1 mm) wide Band-Master ATS® banding strap. Options include slots in banding area, Qwik-Ty® strain relief arm and EMI gasket.
