Protective Cover

Protective cover fits Glenair Series 28 HiPer-D connectors and MIL-DTL-24308 connectors. Socket connector cover fits over connector shell and has fluorosilicone gasket. Pin connector cover fits inside connector shell. Socket connector cover has optional ground springs for EMI protection. Attach to panel with optional lanyard. Aluminum or stainless steel. Stainless steel screwlocks. Socket cover has nickel-plated copper alloy ground springs and fluorosilicone gasket.

Metal cover for panel-mounted connectors. 500-008 aluminum cover fits M24308 D-Subminiature and Series 28 HiPer-D connectors. Variable height cover completely shrouds connector and seats against panel. Optional EMI panel gasket. Supplied with standard 4 inch (102mm) attachment. Cover has silicone gasket to protect connector face. Cover is supplied with 4-40 male screwlocks to mate with M24308/26 female screwlocks on panel connector. Also available with female screwlocks for use with cable mounted connectors. Aluminum body, passivated SST screwlocks, and silicone gasket.

Three material choices: black neoprene, carbon-filled conductive black neoprene, or red silicone. Attach cover with nylon rope. Attachment choices include cable tie, slip knot or stainless steel ring. Not rated for water immersion.

Conductive Dust Cap

Conductive dust caps fit HiPer-D® and M24308-type D-Subminiature connectors. These caps provide electrostatic discharge protection to sensitive equipment. These caps meet the static decay requirement of MIL-PRF-81705E. Surface resistivity is less than 1 x 105 ohms/square. Integral lip allows easy removal. Conductive polyethylene copolymer.
