- 680-116, 680-120 Dummy Contact Grommet Sealing Plugs
Weight-saving, high temperature. Dummy contacts maintain environmental sealing in empty rear-release crimp connector cavities. Compatible with MIL-DTL-38999 connectors along with Glenair Series 80 Mighty Mouse and Series 806 ultraminiature circular connectors. Made of chemical-resistant thermoplastic, these dummy contacts are available in sizes 8, 12, 16, 20, 20HD, 22, and 22HD/23. Sealing plug tail protrudes from grommet to facilitate removal with standard extraction tools. Rated for +200 °C continuous operating temperature, these sealing plugs save weight compared to installing both an unused contact and a grommet sealing plug. Size 8 sealing plug requires 859-165-02 sealing boot for environmental seal.

High temperature, chemical resistant. Size 8 sealing boots maintain environmental seal in connectors with size 8 coax, twinax or quadrax contacts. Fits MIL-DTL-38999, Series 80 Mighty Mouse and Series 806 Mil-Aero connectors. Slide boot over cable (grommet end first) before attaching contact to cable. After contact is assembled and installed into connector cavity, slide sealing boot forward until rigid dielectric boot body seats into connector rear grommet. For contact removal, sealing boot can be removed without the use of a tool. Blue fluorosilicone grommet, black PEI body. -65 to +200 °C.

687-207 composite splice ring joins wire bundle shield braid with adapter braid sock. Splice ring consists of two identical snap-together halves. Install splice ring over wire bundle, then overlap braids and secure with Band-Master ATS® banding strap, purchased separately. Black thermoplastic.

Grommet nuts are threaded rings for installation onto connector rear accessory threads when a backshell or strain relief is not used. Grommet nuts protect connector threads and support the connector grommet to improve wire sealing. Available in two styles: direct coupling and spin coupling. Spin coupling version has toothed follower. Aluminum or stainless steel.

Rubber bushing strip fits under strain relief saddle bars and provides cushioning and protection to wire bundle. Use with full radius saddle clamp strain reliefs including 620-038, M85049/118, /120, /121, /123, /124, and /126. These 10 inch (254 mm) strips are available in three widths to fit small, medium and large width saddle bars. Trim to desired length with scissors. Blue silicone rubber.

M85049/139 rubber bushings provide wire cushioning and protection. Install bushing under saddle bars of cable clamp. These bushings telescope into the next larger size. Use multiple bushings to reduce the inside diameter. Available with or without flange. These bushings are identical to the MS3420 specification. Black neoprene (-40 to +100 °C), red silicone (-70 to +200 °C) or blue fluorosilicone (-70 to +200 °C).

Potting boots are plastic molds held in place by a threaded aluminum potting ring. Fill boot with encapsulant for a neat potting seal. Plastic boot snaps over ring. Available with straight boot, 90° boot or ring only. 307AS037 and 307FS037 have aluminum ring, 307HS029 has thermoplastic ring. Boot is translucent 6/6 nylon.
